One of the worlds most photographed bridges, Tower Bridge is often mistaken for London Bridge. Constructed with two towers and connected by two walkways forming a suspension bridge as well as a lower moveable bridge(Bascule Bridge).
Completed in 1894, Tower Bridge today still provides a vital link for crossing The River Thames for motorists as well as pedestrian traffic. Joining Southwark on the south bank with Tower Hamlets on the north bank.
Tower Bridge lower bridge is still opened for river traffic and has become an attraction in itself as spectators line both banks of the river as well from the base of the two tower structures to watch the bridge rise and the large ships pass through.
The Tower Bridge Exhibition is located inside Tower Bridge, giving a detailed view of the workings of the bridge with a tour thru the engine room to spectacular views from the foot bridges atop the massive twin towers.
