Built as a Pedestrian only bridge, Millennium Bridge was London’s newest bridge since the construction of Tower Bridge in 1894. Completed in the summer of 2001 the bridge links St Pauls Cathedral and the city on the north bank to Bankside theaters and galleries on the south bank of the River Thames.
Lying between the Blackfriars Bridge and Southwark Bridge on the River Thames, Millennium Bridge offers excellent views of the London Skyline as well as the perfect location for watching the River Thames boat traffic.
Easy access by London’s Underground thru Mansion House Station or Blackfriars on either the Circle Line or District Line makes getting to the Millennium Bridge quickly from throughout London very convenient.
